La Poma - wild camp 1 (26 km after La Poma)

Fred and Ellen take a rest in the garden of our Hospedaje in La Poma.
Then, the big big climb towards Abra del Acay starts. It will take 2 wild camps and 3 days to go through seven river crossings and to climb the 1500 m to the top of the pass.
Wild camp 1 (ca 3800 m), in the middle of Ruta Nacional 40, not really in shape for heavier traffic. Ellen felt really sick and got Diamox, coca leaves and spaghetti alla Marco (a lot of garlic).
