Challapata - Oruro (and rest day in Oruro)

Challapata - Oruro, 22nd February, 121 km
Rest days: 23rd and 24th February

This was, and probably will be, the longest distance of the trip. And this time, no rain!
It was not much more than high-altitude pampas with dirty mine villages and sporadic farmlands and what is left of the bolivian railways to our left.
Oruro famous Carnival was still lingering on, even if its actual time was over.
We enjoyed 2 full rest days in Hotel Houston and walking around and eating at the Hare-krsna canteen Govinda. There you can eat nice food for 2 dollars and drink fantastic milk-fruit shakes.
